Perry Demsko

PhD Student

Perry is a 2nd year Biomedical PhD student with research interests in Gene Therapy, Synthetic Biology, and Vector Engineering. Co-mentored by Dr. Saar Gill, his current projects include in-vivo gene therapies for diseases of the hematopoietic lineage and novel viral pseudotypes. Prior to coming to the University of Pennsylvania, he received his BS in Biology with concentrations in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from George Mason University.  While at Mason’s Center for Applied Proteomics and Molecular Medicine, he researched novel diagnostic tools to interrogate the effects of protein signaling perturbations on cancer prognoses.
