Gianluca De Rosa
Gianluca obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology for Health in 2012 and the Master Degree in Medical Biotechnology in 2015 at the University of Naples “Federico II”, Italy. He did his internship for the Master Degree in Medical Genetics, so he was involved in the study of some bone marrow failure syndromes, particularly focusing on Congenital Dyserythropoietic Anemia type II (CDAII). In 2015 he started his PhD program in Systems Medicine (curriculum Human Genetics) at the European School of Molecular Medicine (SEMM). During his PhD internship, he worked on the establishment of cell line models of CDAII and on therapeutic strategies for this red blood cells disorder. He joined the Rivella Lab in May 2019 as a visiting scholar PhD student to work on Gene Therapy strategies applied to Congenital Dyserythropoietic Anemias.
