Alisa Dong, PhD


Alisa Dong received her B.S. in Bioengineering from Berkeley in 2009.  After graduating, she worked at Genentech in Process Development and Early Stage Research; then with John Hogenesch on circadian rhythms at the University of Pennsylvania.  In 2012, Alisa joined the Rivella lab at Weill Cornell Medical College for her PhD dissertation.  Her project focused on gene therapy and splice switching treatments for thalassemia and sickle cell anemia. Alisa succesfully defended her thesis in October 2016. Alisa is now Life Science Specialist at L.E.K. Consulting, where she conducts primary and secondary research on markets, competitors and customers, apply technical and scientific expertise to client issues, perform rigorous analysis to pinpoint appropriate, practical recommendations for clients and collaborate with team members to transform research and analysis into thoughtful insights that deliver maximum impact for clients.
